Barkby Local History Group

In 2010 the local History group in Barkby, Leicestershire approached me to work with the whole village to create a large mosaic to commemorate the life of Thomas Marshall who was born in the village in 1621 to the local blacksmith.

Ettington Jubilee Celebrations

During Ettington villages celebration of the Queens Jubilee a Union Jack flag was made by villagers of all ages using kitchen tiles donated by TOPPS Tiles (Stratford upon Avon branch). The finished mosaic is now hung in the main hall at our Community Centre.

Ettington Primary School

The local village school wanted a mosaic to welcome visitors to the school and a competition was run for the best design. This winning design was then created in school using the indirect method whereby tiles are stuck upside down onto brown paper using wall paper paste.

Courses

Next Courses start: Wednesday 21st September 7:30pm - 9:30pm at Ettington Community Centre Thursday 22nd September 10am - 12noon at Ettington Community Centre Both courses run for ten weeks and cost £60. Booking is essential.
